Active Directory:
Its a framework that holds the objects. The AD network can be addressed at different levels
(Forest, Tree and Domain).

Forest:
A forest is a collection of trees that share a common global catalog, directory schema,
logical structure, and directory configuration.


Tree:
A tree is a collection of one or more domains and domain trees in a contiguous namespace,
linked in a transitive trust hierarchy.


FQDN:
Fully Qualified Domain Name is the complete naming convention to address a specific machine
in a domain with entire path.




Ex:
SQL.Bellandur.Bangalore.India


DNS:
Domain Naming Service.


DNS helps converting IP Address to Domain Names and vice versa.
